So what do we do with ourselves when we have family over and the weather permits?

Awwwwwwe, this is the best, a face hug

IMG9210.jpg
We sit on Sophie, but that is a problem because Jimmy is too far away from giving her head a big hug

We give horse kisses—especially to Sugar

Jimmy is our grandson—his parents are Rochelle (our daughter) and Brad.

Three Creeks is a small, but growing, Appaloosa breeding farm. We are located outside the little town of Creston - approximately halfway between California's new Wine Country, near Paso Robles on the Central Coast, and the world renown San Joaquin Valley inland.

Our landscape consists of gently rolling hills and valleys, watered in winter and spring by seasonal creeks. Ancient oak trees dot the hills where deer, California quail, rabbits, bobcats and numerous other spices of wildlife make their home. The hills, the creeks, the deer and the bunnies speak of where we are. But.... Championship Appaloosa Show Horses is what we're all about.  Although the physical building of Three Creeks at Creston is not complete, the concepts and partnership were formed long ago as Stockdale Ranch in Buttonwillow (near Bakersfield California). Operating as it had then and now, ideals remain the same: creating the "versatile" Appaloosa horse.

We believed in making a horse that would stand proudly against other breeds, surpassing them on occasion. Once it was Bright Tribute and Roman Annie, now it is Always Dignified. We believe[d] in an athlete so we out-crossed with the running quarter horse and confirmation Thoroughbred. Our horse had to be correct and have style with the right movement and temperament to perform. It needed to have enough color to recognize the breed. Then ultimately our horse would need to reproduce these qualities again and again. We began achieving those ideals in 1971 with National Yearling and Junior Champion Filly - Going My Way. Today, our accomplishments continue through the bloodlines of Impressive Andrew, Roman's Straw Man and more.
